One of the first lessons we talked about as a team was the unity of the Spirit- Understanding the Commitment to Teamwork in Ministry. We learned that a good team is not necessarily a collection of talented people, but that true teamwork challenges us to re-think our identity altogether. A team put together by the unity of the Spirit is not to show our individual performances, but to give glory to God. Our hope on this trip is that we would be emptying ourselves of "self" and be filled by the Spirit.
However to truly understand what this team is made of, it is important to know each of our stories before we came together for this trip.

I was surprised to learn at our last meeting that more than half of Kenyans label themselves as Christian. Looking forward to this weekend's retreat at Winshape directed by ImpactU. Looking forward to the rope course, I think...
Yeah!! I did it! I walked the high wires at Winshape! I can't believe I actually did it! We had a great day. I learned alot about myself and my teammates.
Stacia and I are hosting our Kenya Trip Benefit this Sunday from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm at the Steinway Piano Gallaries in Sandy Springs. If anyone would like to join us, there will be music, food, wine and punch. Also, alot of fun. Donations gratefully accepted.
Address is:
6650 B Roswell Rd
Sandy Springs, Ga 30328
PS Date for the benefit is June 15. Yes, that's Father's Day! Bring them along!!
We had a wonderful turnout for our benefit for the trip! The piano music which was played by my friend Carnie was outstanding and we had an auction of several African items which were donated by a friend of mine, Frank. Food was incredible and was catered by Carnie's sister Margaret. It was awesome. Thanks for all the prayers...it was a great success!!!
